Peabody Alumni, Faculty, and Students Featured in Concert Reply

Musical BanquetGraduate students Stephanie Zimmerman, Baroque violin, and Matt Gabriel, Baroque cello; Peabody Preparatory faculty artist Judson Deitrich, violin; and Michael De Sapio (’08, Baroque Violin) and Marc Bellassai (’83, Harpsichord) will be featured in concert with Charm City Baroque. “A Musical Banquet” will feature works by Biber, Schmelzer, Charpentier, and more. The concert will take place on Sunday, December 17, at 3:00 pm, at St. Ignatius Church in Baltimore. Admission is free, but donations will be accepted.

Musica-Spira-300x200Musica Spira, under the direction of Grace Srinivasan (MM ’16, Voice) and current DMA candidate Paula Maust (MM ‘16, Harpsichord), will present a concert on Thursday, November 16, at 6:15 pm at St. Anne’s Episcopal Church in Annapolis, Md. The concert, “Let Me Speak: Rage, Sorrow, and Yearning in the Italian Baroque,” will feature works by Giacomo Carissimi, Barbara Strozzi, Domenico Scarlatti, Girolamo Frescobaldi, and Michelangelo Rossi.
